Last week the education department went to Washington, DC to the Science and Engineering Festival. The AMA teamed up with the DC Maxecuters to spread the word about model avaiation. The Maxecuters set up a huge display of model planes while the AMA set up a flight simulator for everyone to try their hand at flying. We loved meeting people who had never heard of the hobby, and talking with people who had been long time members.
