Classroom Activity: Paper Rocket

The paper rocket is an exciting, hands-on way to teach STEM concepts to your students (or to make at home just for fun)! This activity, created specially for classroom use, teaches how thrust and drag affect an object moving through the air. Students will construct a paper rocket using the template provided and use it to conduct an experiment. This curriculum is a full lesson plan that includes learning objectives, instructions, vocabulary, a student worksheet, discussion questions and information on other resources to teach about flight science. It is part of a series made possible by a grant from NASA in partnership with the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.

This activity is provided as a PDF. Click here to access the PDF.
